Abstract Submission Guidelines - 3rd Medical Kurdistan Conference

Theme: Transforming Healthcare through Research and Innovation

Language:

• All submitted abstracts must be in English.

 

Author(s):

​

• Clearly indicate the presenting author's name and contact information, who will be considered as the contact person for all correspondence connected with the submitted abstract.

• Include the full names, surnames, and affiliations of all co-authors.

 

Presentation Preference: Authors must clearly indicate their preferred method of presentation:

• Oral Presentation: A formal presentation delivered to the audience.

• Poster Presentation: A visual display of research findings for interactive discussion.

• No Preference: Authors are open to either format.

 

Please note that the final decision on presentation format rests with the conference organizers, based on the review process and overall program considerations. However, your preference will be taken in account.

 

Length:

• Abstracts should be limited to a maximum of 500 words.

 

Title:

• Provide a short, specific title (avoid abbreviations) that accurately reflects the investigation.

• The title should be engaging, attract the audience and give a hint about the research focus.

 

Content:

• A well written abstract should include the following sections:

1. Background/Objectives: Briefly introduce the problem, provide essential and short background information (1-2 sentences), and to follow by clearly stating the objectives of the investigation.

2. Design and Methods: Describe the study design, number of participants, and scientific methods used.

3. Results: Present data supporting your conclusions. Include clear and concise captions for any tables, graphs, or images (maximum of two).

4. Conclusions: Summarize the main findings, discuss implications, and suggest areas for future research.

5. Citation: Include a reference list (if applicable) and acknowledgements.

 

Abstracts will NOT be considered if:

• The data has already been published or accepted for publication.

• The data has been presented at a previous scientific meeting.

 

Acceptance & Rejection:

• Abstracts will be reviewed based on scientific/clinical value, relevance to the conference theme, methodology, conclusions, objectivity, ethics, originality, and English language proficiency.

• Acceptance notifications will be sent via email, indicating presentation format (oral or poster).

• Presenting authors must confirm attendance within one week of acceptance.

• Accepted authors will receive one complimentary registration pass.

 

Timeline:

• October 1st : Call for abstracts opens

• December 31st (December 15th) ?: Abstract submission deadline

• January 12th (January 10th)?: Acceptance/rejection notifications sent

• January 20th: Last day for withdrawal of accepted abstracts

Important Note: The conference theme emphasizes the application of evidence-based medicine to improve healthcare in Kurdistan. Submissions should align with this theme, showcasing research that has the potential to translate into practical benefits for the community.
